Greensboro is situated in the peaceful North Shropshire village of Weston-under-Redcastle at the entrance to the famous Hawkstone Park Hotel, Golf Course and Follies. We offer you a spacious elegant home furnished with many antiques yet maintaining a high degree of comfort. You will be welcomed with tea or freshly ground coffee and homemade cakes served in the conservatory in summer or the lounge in the winter. We were a finialist in the best B&B section of Period Living and Traditional Homes magazine Best of British Awards 2005.

You are assured of a good nights sleep in our large well co-ordinated bedroom where you will be cosseted in a five foot Vi-Spring bed, cotton bedlinen and plump goosedown duvet and pillows. The en-suite bathroom is spacious having been converted from a bedroom. It is luxuriously fitted out with a large deep bathtub and a super efficient power shower over it.

Breakfast is served in our elegant dining room which overlooks a landscaped garden and golf course. Our breakfast menu ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible and includes: Fresh fruit salad, Yoghurt, Cereals, Local free range eggs, Locally smoked bacon, Local butchers sausages, Smoked salmon / scrambled eggs, Smoked haddock, poached eggs, Home made bread and preserves, Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for by arrangement. Greensboro has been awarded the AA Breakfast Award.

Close by is Hawkstone Historic Park and Follies. This 18th century extravaganza has been restored to create a memorable walk, with caves to explore, a monument to climb, and surprises around every corner. Shrewsbury is 10 miles away and offers a plethora of Tudor buildings all with stories to tell. A guided walking tour of the town is highly recommended. Chester, with its Roman Walls and famous Rows is 20 miles north. Ironbridge Gorge - a World Heritage Site, with an award winning museum, is an essential visit to be made while in this area. Nearer to us are many of our Shropshire beauty spots, including the Meres of Ellesmere, Whixall Moss, the Llangollen Canal and the hills of South Shropshire.
