There are three peaceful cottages on the Soulton Estate. Each of the cottages has an open fire, its own private garden and well-equipped fitted kitchen, but guests are very welcome to take their meals at Soulton Hall.

There are three peaceful cottages on the Soulton Estate. Each of the cottages has an open fire, its own private garden and a well-equipped fitted kitchen (dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave etc) for self catering, but guests are very welcome to take their meals at Soulton Hall, allowing for a very flexible approach to your stay at Soulton.

The Keeper's Cottage is an enchanting cottage tucked away in the south facing corner of Soulton Wood and enjoying a open country aspect. The stone core of this cottage dates from the 1500s, but benefits from brick and timber extensions. From the sitting/dining room guests can observe the plentiful wildlife and the total quiet of this secluded location.

The Herdsman's and Ploughman's Cottages are semi-detached Victorian cottages dating from 1899. Each has its own large gardens with fruit trees, lawn and flower beds. Set in the unspoilt Shropshire countryside, with fine views towards both Soulton Brook and Hawkstone Hill, the cottages are approached through their own private gardens and there is ample parking close to the house. Original features include quarry tile floors.

Directions

At the junction of the A5/A49 (N) take the A49 right towards Whitchurch. Next main roundabout go straight on carrying on the A49. At the next roundabout turn left on the A5124 towards Ellesmere and turn right on the next roundabout A528. In Harmer Hill bear right on to the B5476 to Wem. In Wem turn right by church towards Whitchurch. Go over the railway line on to Soulton Road B5065. Finish at Soulton Hall on the right (signposted)
