Walking
There are plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs in North Shropshire - walks upon high sandstone hills, along canal towpaths, on long distant trails and short circular walks. There are walking opportunities for all interests and abilities.
So whether you are looking for spectacular views, to explore the history of our towns and villages, or discover some of the amazing wildlife in our countryside or at one of our Natures Reserves there are a wide variety of designated walking routes throughout the district and two long distance walks, the Shropshire Way and sandstone Trail also start or end in North Shropshire (depending on which way you're facing!)
Popular to many walkers is the Offa's Dyke Path. To walk the 177 mile / 285 km Offa's Dyke Path is to explore both spectacular Shropshire landscapes and the history of the Anglo-Welsh border.
Visit the Shropshire Walking website for more information on walking routes.
