Walking in North ShropshireThere are plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs in North Shropshire - walks upon high sandstone hills, along canal towpaths, on long distant trails and short circular walks.  There are walking opportunities for all interests and abilities.

So whether you are looking for spectacular views, to explore the history of our towns and villages, or discover some of the amazing wildlife in our countryside or at one of our Natures Reserves there are a wide variety of designated walking routes throughout the district and two long distance walks, the Shropshire Way and sandstone Trail also start or end in North Shropshire (depending on which way you're facing!)
