Ellesmere Food and Drink
Hungry? With all that exercise it's time to refuel at one of our restaurants, bistros or cafe's. From a quick snack, to a sit-down meal, Ellesmere has it all.
In the 1930's Lord Brownlow built his new Boathouse right on the shoreline, it is now a splendid coffee shop and tea gardens. The Boathouse has a menu brimming over with Shropshire specialities - Ellesmere Lamb and Leek pie, Shropshire Ham and Eggs, Shrewsbury Pie, local cheeses and smoked meats. Not forgetting the essential cream tea. The town centre also has many places serving fine foods, and there are small speciality shops where you can purchase local produce.
