Carnival in North Shropshire

North Shropshire and the surrounding area hosts many different events throughout the year - catering for all tastes.

You can watch Ellesmere's annual triathlon, where competitors brave the cold waters of the mere (watching from the warmth of the bank is the best idea!); or visit the annual sweet pea show in Wem, filled with amazing colours and smells. Then there's the boat rally in Whitchurch where you can see canal boats dressed to impress; and don't miss the 'Battle of Blore Heath', just outside Market Drayton. It's re-enactment of the first major battle of the war of the Roses.

North Shropshire and the surrounding area are home to many events throughout the year, from local carnivals to story telling events, triathlons to Sweet Pea shows and we also have all the usual Halloween, bonfire and Christmas events. You can either search for the event by name or search for a type of event happening in a particular town on a set date.
