Llanymynech
The village has one of only three remaining Hoffmann kilns in the British Isles. However the one situated at Llanymynech is the only one that survives that had a chimney. Orginally it would have been used for lime burning.
The village also boats a unique golf course. It is the only golf course in the UK to be located in two countries - England and Wales. It is an 18-hole course located on top of cliffs, giving beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
The border between England and Wales runs mostly down the centre of the villages main street with the eastern half located in England and the western half located in Wales.
