Weston Rhyn
Weston Rhyn is another large village in north Shropshire. It is located between the town of Chirk in Wales and Oswestry in England.
The village is serviced by three churches (Presbyterian Church of Wales, Quinta Independent Evangelical Church and St John's Church of England).
Although the village is located on the Chester to Shrewsbury railway line there is no station, with commuters having to travel to the nearby stations of Chirk or Gobowen.
The village was originally a mining village although the pits have long-since closed. Today the village is surrounded by spectacular countryside with Offa's Dyke to the west and the River Ceirig to the north.
Weston Rhyn village is also recorded in the Doomsday book.
