New summer ‘Digital Days’ workshops for children at Enginuity Ironbridge Gorge Museums 1st – 18th August

A new series of ‘Digital Days’ teacher-led summer workshops for children aged 6 - 15 years is being hosted by Enginuity, the Ironbridge Gorge Museums’ design and technology discovery centre at Coalbrookdale, between 1st and 18th August. Previous experience is not essential for any of the sessions.

This Sunday 24th July, the 30 acre Onny Meadows surrounding Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre will play host to a Classic Car Show for the 4th year running. Enthusiasts from the Knighton Vintage Vehicle Club which started in 1999 will congregate at the Discovery Centre from 10.30am.

RAF Museum volunteers celebrate Legion d’honneur award

Two volunteers at the Royal Air Force Museum have been awarded France’s highest distinction Legion d’honneur for their services to secure France’s liberation during the Second World War. To honour and celebrate their remarkable achievement, Leading Aircraft Woman, Rose Davies and Lance Bombardier, Arthur Jones were guests of honour at a drinks reception hosted by the RAF Museum American Foundation.
