The Dorothy Clive Garden is now open every weekend during February and March 2014

The Dorothy Clive Garden - an independent Charitable Garden Trust - will be opening exclusively on all weekends during February and March 2014 from 10.00am until 4.00pm at the special discounted fundraising price of £3.50 per person. Children between 0-4 are admitted for free and 5-17s are admitted at £2.00.


Kestrel goes on display at Cosford

The New Year has got off to a flying start at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford with the addition of the Hawker-Siddeley Kestrel FGA.1 going on public display. This jet aircraft was built to evaluate the jump jet concept during the 1960s and visitors are now able to view it within the Museum's Test Flight collection.

Spoon shortage threatens 12ft Gorilla Sculpture

The British Ironwork Centre in Oswestry Shropshire had been challenged to create a monstrous gorilla statue from old spoons, ready for their Open day on the 17th May 2014. The shortage of spoons is threatening the creation of the commission from Britain’s biggest mystifier Uri Geller.

The Dorothy Clive Garden will be hosting a special fundraising event for families celebrating ‘feathered friends’ on Sunday 16th February 2014 during National Nest Box Week (14-21 February). The event, ‘#BuildaBroodaHome’ which will take place between 12noon and 4pm, is open to all visitors and families and will also be attended by representatives from the British Trust for Ornithology, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust & the RSPB, who will be providing various talks and activities to encourage bird life in the garden.
