Dorothy Clive Garden to open for the new 2013 season

The Dorothy Clive Garden will be opening for the 2013 season from Friday 29th March 2013 at 10.00am. The garden will then be open, seven days a week from 10.00am to 5.30pm daily until Monday 30th September 2012. After that, the garden will be open on every weekend in October 2013.

5* Bed and Breakfast near Oswestry expands with the aid of a £5,000 Business Grant

Woolston House, situated just outside Oswestry have been successful in expanding their business to create an additional guest suite to the already successful B&B thanks to a £5,000 grant from the Shropshire and Herefordshire Business and Enterprise scheme towards this £20,000 capital project.

Mucklestone Nurseries and Business Centre, a new specialist plant nursery with an adjoining affordable business premises owned by William and Louise Friend, are again hosting their annual 'Spring Daffodil Walk' for the local community on Sunday 7th April 2013 from 1.30pm to 4.00pm.


Spring into cycling - March and April 2013

Throughout March and April 2013 Shropshire Council is organising free cycling activities to help you and family to get back on your bikes after winter. Free activities include bicycle maintenance and confidence courses, guided cycle rides, giveaways and competitions.


Mother's Day at the Dorothy Clive Garden

The Dorothy Clive Garden, a 12 acre charitable garden trust, is to host a special Afternoon Cream Tea for Mothering Sunday on Sunday 10th March 2013 from 12noon until 4pm. The Mothers Day special afternoon tea will include a selection of fresh finger sandwiches, cakes - including homemade scones - and a choice of tea or freshly filtered coffee. A complimentary posy of flowers will also be given to every Mother.

The Dorothy Clive Garden - a Charitable Garden Trust - will be opening exclusively on all weekends during February and March 2013 from 10.00am until 4.00pm at the special discounted fundraising price of £3.50 per person. Children between 0-4 are admitted for free and 5-17s are admitted at £2.00.
