Christmas Market this weekend at farm shop
21st November 2017
General Manager John Wesley explained “Apley mince pies are very popular every year, but this year since winning the Great Taste Award, given by the Guild of Fine Foods, they have been mentioned in The Times newspaper & food magazines. “
Lord Hamilton, Apley Estate owner began “We advise customers to come hungry to really enjoy the free tasters on offer. It’s free entry & all indoors, so whatever the weather, it’s a fun pre-Christmas event.”
Lady Hamilton continued, “It’s a rare chance to meet & chat with the producers of some of our delicious products we stock in the farm shop. They’re so busy creating their products all year round, it’s rare they come face to face with their customers & hear feedback directly. “
Amongst those coming are Bennett & Dunn, Cottage Delight, Mr Moyden’s handmade cheeses, The Best of Taste Co, Flower & White, Hop & Stagger Brewery, Kitchen Thyme, Oak Apple Catering, Punjaban, Shropshire Gin Co, Shropshire Spice Co, Image on Food & William Chase vodkas.
Lady Hamilton herself will be launching the latest product in the Apley range. “As far as we know, no-one else has made smoked pheasant breasts available in such an easy & ready-to-eat form – making it unique to Apley. I’d say it’s the best way to enjoy pheasant. For those who aren’t mad about pheasant, it tastes very different to when it’s cooked in other ways. “
This year, Apley is continuing to support Operation Orphan & a new indoor equestrian centre for the Riding for the Disabled opening near Much Wenlock next summer.
The Apley Christmas Market is of course a great occasion to find the perfect gift for anyone, but especially the foodies in your life.
