Wem Treacle Mine is an Old Fashioned Sweet Shop and Award Winning Tea Room.
Step back in time for a unique sweet experience, be served from a range of over 250 different sweets from jars, the way you remember from your childhood days. They are from all parts of the country, Butter Tablet, Buttered Brazils, Coltsford Roack, Uncle Joe's Mint Balls, Bulls Eyes, Rainbow Sherbet, Aniseed Balls, the list goes on, we have a saying; "Seeing is believing - Tasting is even better"
While you choose the sweets you wish to take home, relax with a coffee, Latte, Cappuccino, Tea - Yorkshire, Earl or Lady Grey, Fruit or even Ginger, to soothe a sore throat. Or you could really indulge in Hot Chocolate, piled high with cream and marshmallows, Milkshakes in various flavours, with added ice cream. Add a light snack, Home-made scones, or Sandwiches with our own bread. The award winning Sidoli's Ice Cream or Soft Whippy Ice Cream. Also stocked are special items such as Gold or Silver Sugared Almonds, Wedding Favors, Belgian Chocolates, which can be presented in hand-made boxes for that special gift for someone very special.
Cards and Craft materials including, card, papers, mulberry paper, peel-offs, rub-ons, stamping materials, acrylic paint, ribbon, small flowers and leaves. Small cross-stitch kits. Do come and visit us.
