North Shropshire Villages

North Shropshire's countryside is scattered with many pretty villages, all well worth a visit. From Grindley Brook on the Shropshire Union canal with its seven tier locks, to the black and white buildings in Hodnet. The village of Loppington houses the only remaining Bull Ring in North Shropshire and Moreton Corbett has impressive stone ruins of a castle. The village of Woore is located on the old London to Chester road and Hadnall is the final resting place of General Rowland Hill who was second in command at the battle of Waterloo and a close friend of the Duke of Wellington.
